For the very first time, local spectators has the opportunity to appreciate a complete venue of what has been the work of this Venezuelan artist, who made his debut in Venezuela, his own country, with the exhibition Arturo Herrera - Circular Ruins.

With a group of more than twelve works pertaining to different private and institutional Collections, The D.O.P. Foundation and The Odalys Foundation, displaying this proposal of anthological and institutional character, presents the trajectory of the Venezuelan artist Arturo Herrera, a creator who contemporarily counts with a forceful international presence, having displayed important exhibitions in institutions of great prestige like the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) and The Dia Art Foundation both from New York, The Renaissance Society of Chicago, the Centro Galego de Arte Contemporánea in Spain and the Musée D´Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris in France, among others

The exhibition was successfully opened on Friday, June 19th in the new spaces of the Odalys Foundation, located in the well known Mall & Convention Center “Concresa”, at Prados del Este, Caracas, allowing everyone to know and comprehend the work of this renewed artist, worldwide qualified outstanding for his art that includes diverse techniques and tools related to collage, drawing, comics and abstraction, building multiple readings on the structures and the own problematic of the development of the visual culture in our society.

This successful venue, besides exhibiting pieces of some of the most important private collections of our and foreign countries, includes the display of the web based interactive piece Almost Home, important work pertaining to the collection of the Dia Art Foundation and the formal presence of the well worldwide known media producer Art21, Inc.

Arturo Herrera / Circular Ruins was received with great success; the opening act counted with a massive support of the public including the presence of great personalities of the local culture life. This venue, that already counts with the best specialized critics & comments, can be viewed until the 20th of September, Monday to Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (Free admission). The exhibition is supported by the Curatorial and General Coordination of The Odalys Foundation and The D.O.P. Foundation, besides the main text of Lorena González I. and critic texts by Juan Carlos Ledezma and Maria Elena Ramos among others.
