Do seniors on this board remember some early TV shows?
My favorites as a kid were Corliss Archer, Our Miss Brooks, I Married Joan, The Life of Riley, Father Knows Best, Crusader Rabbit, The Lone Ranger. The adults watched Jackie Gleason, Omnibus, Playhouse 90, Milton Berle.
I forgot some others, maybe they were local to Los Angeles.
Pinky Lee Show, Korla Pandit
Oh, I had forgotten. I remember Ted Mack like American Idol. Forgot about Gale Storm & Charles Farrell. Didnt mention Perry Mason cause it is still on TV and that came later for me.
One more - Private Secretary
I should have mentioned these shows were from the 1950s.
Davey Crockett
Thanks for remembering all the great shows. I forgot about all those westerns. Remember Cheyenne with Clint Walker?
I used to watch The Cisco Kid too with Leo Carillo.
How about Zorro? That was exciting stuff.
Hobo, Yes I liked Sky King and his niece Penny. Peoples Choice had a dog named Cleo, remember?
Mannon - I dug that Zorro theme too !
Our Miss Brooks was my favorite. The Danny Thomas show was a good one, too. You mentioned Korla Pandit. I remember him and we always watched him on KTLA. I looked up his bio and was surprised to find that his real name was John Roland Redd, born in Missouri in 1921. He was known as The Godfather of Exotica. We just liked him for his musical artistry and his good looks.
Thanks for the memories.
