Charity Dinner Dubai – Sport For A Better World

On 22 November 2009, HRH Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, wife of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and Mr. Wilfried Lemke, Special Adviser to the United Nations Secretary-General on Sport for Development and Peace, hosted a fundraising gala dinner including a live and silent auction at the Atlantis The Palm Hotel in Dubai to raise funds for sport for development and peace activities, in particular for children and youth in the Palestinian Territories. The auction of sports memorabilia, VIP ticket packages and art raised more than 900,000 US Dollars.
